One of the questions is How do I charge the i-MiEV?
There are three ways to charge the i-MiEV. The recommended way is with what
is commonly referred to as a Level 2, 240 volt EVSE (which stands for Electric
Vehicle Supply Equipment) residential charging dock, which is easy to have
professionally installed. The second charging method is through a Level 1, 120
volt portable charging cable. Its use requires a dedicated 15 amp circuit. The
third method is the DC (Direct Current) quick charge public charging station
that takes advantage of i-MiEV's standard CHAdeMO connector port.
Highway capable, the i-MiEV has a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour and a
target range of up to 155 kilometers on a single charge*. Its highly efficient
motor is smaller than an equivalent gasoline engine, while still producing high
torque at low revolutions, giving it a lot of get-up-and-go. This lightweight,
permanent magnet synchronous motor provides sportier, quieter driving and power
superior to the gasoline "i" 's turbo charged 660cc engine.
